Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein is based on two lovers who are unable to start an relationship because of their family's feud and ancient grudge. The two families who are neighbors, had a joyful friendship. The daughter from one family, was planned to marry a son from the other family. However, the son ran away with another woman, which caused the daughter to commit suicide. Since then, the two families obtained a raging feud and grudge. After many years, the son who ran away with another woman, has died leaving a son and a daughter behind. The son, Abhay (Fardeen Khan) then arrives at his family's house. He is accepted into the house, and is treated like a normal family member. Soon enough, Abhay falls in love with Mangala (Richa Pallod). She loves him back, and the two start a relationship
